Hubbard Support at the Service of Our Customers

Hubbard is proud to supply customers in over 100 countries worldwide, providing them with dedicated support to optimise the performance of their flocks.

Given the wide range of environmental conditions worldwide, the Hubbard Customer Support team takes a very pragmatic approach, focussed on assisting customers in developing practical solutions. To achieve this, we leverage the expertise of the team and its network of regional technical specialists to support daily practices, always taking into account the real field conditions.

Baptiste Nevejans and Lamine Youssef are in charge of Hubbard’s Customer Support respectively in the English and French speaking countries on the African continent.

Hubbard Breeds in the field

The main breed used by our customers is the Hubbard Efficiency Plus breeder female mated with the M77 male. Hubbard also offers a wide range of coloured “Premium” breeds, including the JA57Ki and REDBRO female breeders, for markets looking for traditional or dual purpose breeds.

The Hubbard Efficiency Plus stands out for its robustness and ability to adapt to challenging conditions — such as hot climates, areas with sanitary challenges, or environments with less optimised feed management — while delivering excellent performance. It ensures high numbers of fertile eggs and chicks, along with good broiler growth and low feed consumption.

Challenges Encountered in the field

Biosecurity is one of the major challenges. We often observe that biosecurity measures are not sufficient, which limits farm performance. We always advise our customers to thoroughly disinfect everything that comes onto the farm, even something as small as a pen or a nail. We also emphasise the importance of displaying visual reminders to raise staff awareness about hygiene protocols.

A key message for the local poultry sector

Biosecurity must become a top priority for everyone involved in the industry. Simple but consistent measures can make a significant difference. Raising staff awareness through clear and visible messages is essential to optimal performance and ensuring flock health. Our experience in the field has reinforced our conviction that strict practices and the use of high-performing breeds are absolutely essential to support and continue developing poultry farming in Africa.

For further information, please meet us at the next local exhibitions: SPACE (France), Tanzania Poultry Show (Tanzania) or Dawajine (Morrocco), or contact your regional sales representative through: communication@hubbardbreeders.com.

Lamine Youssef in the field in Ghana

Lamine Youssef shares his experience working for Hubbard in Africa

I am Tunisian and based in Tunisia, with a degree in Agronomy and Animal Production from INAT (National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia). I joined Hubbard in 2019, as Technical Manager for North, West, and Central Africa.

My Role at Hubbard

My main mission is to provide technical support to customers across the region. I regularly travel to various countries such as Algeria, Morocco, Senegal, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, and Ghana to visit farms, assess their needs, and offer practical solutions aimed at optimising performance. When I am not traveling, I stay in close contact with my clients through video calls or WhatsApp to ensure ongoing support and continue sharing my expertise.

Seminars and Training Sessions

I regularly take part in technical seminars and training sessions. I contribute by sharing Hubbard’s expertise on a variety of topics, such as breeder management, male management, and broiler farming recommendations. These events offer a different kind of opportunity to engage with local stakeholders and pass on best practices. I particularly enjoy these moments of exchange, which further enrich our understanding of on-the-ground practices.
