There are thousands of professional insect farmers around the globe, and tens or perhaps even hundreds of thousands of people getting started with insect farming, but based on the huge number of Facebook and Linkedin group members and all the social media and WhatsApp discussions, there are millions of people all around the world interested in insect farming. The potential of this industry is huge!
That said, the insect farming industry is still very much in its infancy. Knowledge sharing is poor at best, information is often partial, biased or even false. People with almost no actual experience present themselves as insect farming gurus. There is no central marketplace to buy or sell your insect farming products, services or tools and technology. And generally, most companies and individuals still think they have found the Holy Grail and keep all the information to themselves and do not share their experiences with anyone. Well, we’re here to change all that. We at Manna Insect have, from the very start, believed that sharing knowledge and getting involved in the discussions can only create more and better common knowledge, and that the success of this whole industry is highly dependent on the success of those early adopters, the first “generation” of insect farmers. If we can help them succeed, good things will happen to the whole industry, including ourselves. Manna Insect has always been focused on using the most cost-efficient tools and technologies to farm insects as efficiently as possible – and succeeded in doing so eventually, that led us to develop our own technology, which includes the Manna MIND climatisation technology, which is the crown jewel. As part of our knowledge sharing, we decided to build a web platform to help people access it all in a structured way, and launched the first version of a farm hub Since then, the world has changed, and there is now greater need than ever to help people learn the best practices of insect farming, to help them replace soy as a feed ingredient, to help animal farmers grow their own feed, to help upcycle organic waste back to use in the form of feed and fertilizer, and to help people create themselves a job and a livelihood, additional income or perhaps savings in the form of locally produced sustainable feed from farming insects. IT HAS COME TIME TO OFFICIALLY LAUNCH THE INSECT FARM HUB AS A STAND-ALONE SERVICE We have just today added several new video tutorials to the Insect Farm Hub, and soon we will be adding even more turorials, new podcast episodes, and a whole new database for the AI mentor, helping it answer even more and more detailed questions about insect farming.
