Zoetis has collaborated with the Zambia Rainbow Development Foundation (ZRDF) on the Sustainable Animal Health Community Management Project (SAHCMP).

Zoetis has formed a strategic partnership with the Zambia Rainbow Development Foundation (ZRDF) to launch the Sustainable Animal Health Community Management Project (SAHCMP) on March 24, 2025. This initiative will take place in the Mkushi and Luano Districts, regions known for their livestock farming.

The SAHCMP aims to train 55 community health workers who will be equipped with essential skills and knowledge to enhance livestock health, productivity, and overall management for small-scale farmers. This training will focus on veterinary best practices, disease prevention, and sustainable farming techniques.

The project is designed to reach and positively impact 5,000 farmers across 35 communities by the year 2027. By facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration among farmers, the initiative will help improve livestock health and increase the productivity of small-scale farms, which are vital to the local economy.

Through this partnership, Zoetis and ZRDF are dedicated to promoting sustainable livestock management, improving animal welfare, and driving economic growth in the region, ensuring that both farmers and their livestock thrive in a healthy, productive environment.
